Designing the Dine

As a Designer on an engagement, we are generally tasked with improving a specific portion of the journey that our client is responsible for. Rarely does one team or individual truly examine the user’s entire end-to-end journey. As a diner, that might start at your reservation and end at your review. And when you leave that meal, your review is rarely based on the food alone. It is influenced, even if only subconsciously, by a ton of other factors and events that happened along the way. Here we’ll look at the role of physical, experiential and digital design within the full dining experience and how we might apply those observations to other similar journeys.

About Cora

Cora is a Detroit born and raised, fifteen-year user experience veteran. She has practiced nearly every aspect of the discipline and has worked with a host of different clients and industries. Most recently, as a Creative Director, she led a team of Experience Designers and Visual Designers in the creation of digital products. With an undergraduate background in computer engineering and a Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction, she’s always found purpose in helping people feel like they can accomplish their goals - whether on a website, or on her team.

Away from the office, Cora enjoys spending time with her family, teaching kids cooking classes and visiting galleries and museums.
