About Paolo
Paolo Catalla is the Founder & Principal Creative of Semi:Formal — an award-winning multidisciplinary graphic design studio that creates dynamic solutions for brands, products, people, films, institutions, (and for fun ✌️).
With over 15 years in the creative industry, he brings a broad-ranging skill set spanning visual communication and entertainment. His work has been internationally recognized by D&AD, Cannes Lions, Ad Age, Communication Arts, and others.
Outside of Semi:Formal, Paolo is the Co-Founder & Co-Director of Brightside Collective — a Detroit-based nonprofit that reimagines urban spaces through ecology, design, and community collaboration. Outside of that, he’s a father of 4 wild kiddos. And outside of that, he’s tired.
